PHOTO CONTEST - Up close and personal

OK, I've had a quick look and it doesn't look as if this subject has been used recently. If I've missed something and this category already exists, please let me know!

As the title suggests, please post close-up pictures of your cats . . . anything goes . . . could be their paw, their face, their eye/s :D

Entries to be submitted by Sunday 3rd of August hopefully enough time for everyone to dig out their best pics (or take some new ones)!!

However, it is my duty to remind you to include your cat's name and that, unfortunately it's only one entry only per person . . . good luck :-D

It's really down to the interpretation of "close-up" by the photo taker/"competitor" don't you think, Darky? And, of course, to the discretion and choice of the voters!

I don't know, to be honest. :oops: It seems a bit wrong if people vote for a photo that is good, but doesn't fit the contest guidelines.

That's why voting is a delicate balance I think. A couple of times I have asked myself that very question. But perhaps you are thinking of the pictures of a couple of cats together - well, aren't they really "up close and personal" with each other, rather than with the photographer - if that's what you're questioning, IMO it's just another way of answering the brief!

I just didnt see that it said up close of the cat itself. I changed it anyway. Its no biggie. I have LOTS of pics. LOL. I just thought the one with Yoda and Jasper being up close and personal with each other was cute. BTW the one of Angel is taken with my new camera. I still havent learned all the bells and whistles on it yet. But it does a really good job.

I think it's a great pic of Angel; as mentioned earlier it is odd how differently we can interpret the guidelines.

Mine is two cats together, but it's also a close-up. It seemed like people followed suit, but not with close-ups. :?
