Some piccies of a few of our chickens..
Some look quite scruffy - those who do were rescued from a battery farm and were almost bald, so their feathers just havn't grown back completely yet. Also, you see them eating pellets - that is not all that they are fed. And in the piccies where there are nettles, they have now been cut down - they were only allowed to grow because whenever we planned to cut them down it rained on us. (we have 17)

They all look quite good Jane considering you've rescued them from battery. It is so sad when they've been de-beaked. I am sure they will have a lovely time, nettles or no nettles and get used to living like chickens should do! Well done to you and your family.

How wonderful for them to be enjoying freedom at last. We hope to get some ex-batt chickens later this year.
