No particular reason for taking these: she was just sitting there looking out the window and the camera was handy......

Thanks. I know, she is my second blue torbie! I wonder what the odds are of that?

Leia is the first one I have ever seen..
What is the difference between a Torbie and a Tortie???is it to do with the colouring??

A torbie is a tortie-tabby. Tabby markings on face, neck, legs, tummy and tail; tortie coat. They're also known here in the States as patched tabbies. Leia is a good example; her tabby M isn't too clear but the tabby markings everywhere else are very distinct, especially the tail! And her coat is dilute brindled tortie. I wish I knew a bit of cat genetics; I have no idea what breeding produces this coat pattern. Misty had the identical markings, but she was a smaller, stouter cat. :D

Yes, Leia really is a most unusual colouring. Can't say I have ever seen another cat with her colouring at all!

In an galaxy far far away ..... perhaps!
