Ruby has had her first litter, one little boy hence the name Tilsie Only The Lonely. He arrived last night at 10.05 and weighed in at 72 grams. I am not sure of his colour yet, time will tell. Here is his first pic taking today, he is only about 12 hours old.

I think he is a blue point. His nose leather is changing colour from pink to grey so this seems to indicat a blue point. This proves his mum carries dilute and blue which is quite handy to know for future matings.

Well it turns out that Ruby's little man is in fact a little girl. She isn't a blue point but a seal-tortie point and because of this Tate is not her dad. Cory has eventually got it right and this little girl is not only Ruby's first born but Cory's as well.

Thanks Posh and Eileen. Cory thinks he is so clever but he hasn't got a clue why.

The baby has now got a name. I have chosen a Persian name that means sun/light. Her name is Kirah. I chose it because it is Persian but also because Cory's breeders prefix is "Shakirah".

She has just opened her eyes. I will get some more pics in a few days when they have settled down.

No Eileen I don't ;) . I just have a baby name book and scour it for Persian names. There aren't many so I suppose I will run out eventually. I now have 3 with Persian names Leila, Roxy and of course Kirah.

Thanks Eileen. I am especially proud of her as I bred mum and grandma as well. Ruby is so funny with Kirah when she is out of the kitten pen. She tries to play with her. It is so cute to watch she pounces on her tail, rolls into her and taps her with her paw but she is so gentle.

Thanks Moli and Nette. She is so funny now she is trying to play with her mum, Ruby. She tries to tap Ruby on the face but usually falls over as soon as she lifts one of her paws up to high. She recognises her name now and looks at you when you call her and cries for a cuddle. She is so sweet natured but both her arents are so she couldn't really go wrong there.

The nice thing about seeing little Kirah like this is that I can imagine how Posh must have looked at that age. As she came to us fully grown I never saw her as a kitten and now with Kirah and her colour-points, I can see how absolutely adorable "Baby Posh" would have been. Thanks Kay :D

Thanks Moli and Mags. She does have lovely eye colour. It is a little bit two toned at the moment but hopefully that will clear to be an even colour.
