Molly is currently in foster care with the UKRCC and is now ready to be re homed to the right family.

Molly is an 18 month old (DOB: 31/12/06), chocolate pointed Ragdoll. She is neutered, micorchipped and her vaccinations are up to date (booster due: March 2009) She came into foster care on 30th March 2008, because her owner was concerned she was unhappy, due to being left for long hours. Molly was showing signs of stress. At times Molly showed aggression and it is believed this was due to poor socialisation as a small kitten, when with the breeder, coupled with long hours left alone, once she as with her owner. She came from a very loving, caring home, but needed more companionship.

She has been with us for several weeks now and we have assessed her carefully and worked to rehabilitate her, getting her used to being handled and groomed. She is a very friendly, affectionate cat, but it is very much on her terms. She is playful and loves interactive play, as often as possible. Molly tolerates grooming, but does not really enjoy it and accepts it on her terms only - once she ahs had enough, she makes it clear!

We are looking for a very specific home for Molly, where she will have one to one attention, as an only cat. Ideally she needs to go to a family who are experienced cat owners and who have the time, commitment and confidence to continue her socialisation, so she continues to thrive and build trust in people. She did have access to a secure garden in her previous home, but while in foster care she has not been outside at all. We need a pet free, child free home, where Molly will receive the time and companionship she needs. We will not home her to anyone who is at work all day - Molly very much needs human company for as much of the day as possible, although she can be happily left for part time hours.

For more details about Molly and her progress in foster care, please visit Molly's Diary. We would urge anyone considering offering Molly a home to take the time to read this in order to gain a better idea of the type of cat Molly is. If then you feel you can give her the life long home we are looking for please complete our online application form indicating your interest in her. We will of course offer our full support to her new owners, as we do to all adopters and will help in every way we can in supporting them settling Molly and continuing the work we have started.
