That's the plan lol, but I'll be glad when I can get rid of the blasted swing though:roll:

Just realised I missed out OH's little pond in the pics. It's on the right hand side just out of shot in the first pic. Must remember next time.

ooooh, surprises lol!! Must PM you my new mobile number:D

Unfortunately the poppy seems to have disappeared:( , no sign of it whatsoever, and I was really looking forward to that coming up. The purple wallflower has flowered all winter as well, it is my absolute favourite of all my plants:D

Yes, Emma I am very proud of how it is all coming together, but mostly it is my OH's hard work lol, I just tell him where to plant the things:lol: and order him to cut the grass now and again:-D

Thanks ladies:D

It works hard for its money the purple plant. Mine have done the same in fact I keep trimming them down to let them have the effect of Summer without going leggy ....you can be kinda harsh wiht them they are so desperate to flower. Buut please divide him this Autumn may get thre plants from the one he obviously loves it there...

Soz the poppy has gone.....RIP. Have some more so will bring them for you...should get somehting for this year maybe a good showing as the purple loves it there.

Speak to you soon about the "surprise"

I will definitely split the purple in the autumn then, but will get instructions off of you first so I don't kill it lol! I have wonderful soil here, so most plants seem to grow well.

Just wait till abou Oct them dig him up and chop him into two or three with either your spade or a knife spade is better. he may just break into sections,. then plant them again. Thats what I do

Lovely garden Alex - please tell your OH he has done well! I am particularly taken with the neat lawn edges and that lovely red/orange flower - what is it, a marigold or something else?

Looking good, Alex! A lot of hard work there, and it shows! Is that a lavender or a rosemary to the left in the third pic? And I'd like to know what the orangey red flower is too...like it...want some!!!

alexgirl73

yes its rosemary Eileen in the third pic, my lavender is on the left in the 2nd pic, sadly depleted as when the guys were installing the cat pen they stood all over it!!!!!!!!! Trimmed it all back now and waiting for it to grow again.

I have no idea what the orange/red flower is, best ask Kazz as they came from her :D

and thank you Yola and angie :)

Geraniums Eileen they are Geraniums....) lovely aren't they.

The foliage doesn't look like the common geraniums (Perlargonium); looks more like the hardy geranium, and I didn't know they came in shades other than blue, lavender and sort of mauveish. Where did you get them? Don't suppose you remember the name of the variety, do you? I love the color...

Alex is off watching football so we'll have to wait! I thought the foliage looked lie the perennial geraniums, but never saw that color and definitely want some! I put in the old standby Johnson's Blue this Spring, but it hasn't bloomed yet......

So you're a hardy geranium fan too are you Eileen? I put a really zingy cerise coloured one in last summer and I'll post a picture when it flowers again - it's survived the winter and the leaves have all popped up. Might have to move it because it is in a place where it can't really spread out and the nice young Dutch man I bought it from said "Oh that one's a big boy!" Near where I go for my Italian class there is a gorgeous dark blue one growing on the roadside.

Not sure if you can propagate from leaf cuttings? Have you ever tried????
