I took him to the vets today as he has been acting funny and being very grumpy which isn't like buster. So today I took him to the vets and it turns out he has got infected and inflammed paws on all his feet.

I feel really bad as I thought he was just being grupmy so left them:oops:   . He has had them for a week.

He has been given a long acting Antibiotic injection which hopefully will help.

Please send him healing vibes as all his feet hurt him:( :( . It isn't serious just very sore for him so.

Is Buster an indoor or outdoor cat Tilly? If he's an indoor cat have you had any carpets cleaned or used that carpet deodoriser stuff recently??? If he goes outdoors then I guess you don't know where he's been!

Poor Buster! Healing vibes coming from me also. What do you suppose could have caused it; vet had no ideas?

At the moment he is an indoor cat but has been for a potter outsde on a harness. Haven't changed anything recently.

And he is on 7.5mg of prednisolone which should reduce counter any allergic reaction (it is for his ashma)

I will keep think though

Soothing cuddles from me. Oscar once had sore paws-the vet we used said he must have been walking on something nasty and basically told us off.

We got a second opinion-`pododermatitis` as a reaction to his food. Well it`s worth considering?

He couldn't have walked on a hot cooker hob could he? We have to watch Purdie for that!

Hope he feels better soon.x

He couldn't have walked on a hot cooker hob could he? We have to watch Purdie for that! No he isn't allowed in the kitchen as he scavanges food and tries to open my bin.

He is feeling very sorry for himself as his feet were looking a bit better but them I caught him licking them so have had to put a Buster collar on him.

Poor Buster. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon. How long has he been on predisolone? Just wondered if it could be a side effect of long use of that.

His feet seem to be getting better although they are still a bit inflammed. So I think he must have been liking them because they were sore.

He has been on prednisolone for about 9 months.I will mention it to the vet next time I hear from them.

Glad Buster is feeling better. I did google for the side effects and there doesn't seem to be anything to do with sore feet. It was just a thought.
