hiya who here has a tortiseshell cat and what are they like? iam tring to see if all torties are alike in charictoristics.I have a torti and she is quite naughty.

Never had one myself, although my parents did and she was a bit naughty.

I do think they have the nickname 'naughty torties' :)

My late tortie wasn't naughty at all; a gentle, sweet-natured girl. But they got that nickname somehow......:-D

kuan yin is a torbie and white...don't know if that's close enough but she is naughty but in a cute way. basically, the world is her oyster and she's not apologetic about anything no matter how much mommy cleans up after her..LOL

I've got a few torties in at the moment, most are gorgeous temperaments with the cats and humans alike, but I did get attacked by a feral one the other night :lol:

My Mum has a tortie and she's a nervous old girl (cat not Mum :shock: ), she has a bit of an attitude but she's not really naughty.

I have a tortie "Jessie" and shes not naughty at all she is very loving but she is the boss over the other cats and the dogs too, you dont mess with Jess!!! :lol:

lol taki is like that she let you know whos the boss lol she is always hissing and fighting with other cats and sometimes ppl but thats not very often she is very affectionate and loving lets you know what she wants and she makes sure she gets it too lol

Emily is as sweet as they come, wouldn't hurt a fly, lovely temperament, placid, laid back, lazy, loves indoors. She follows my youngest daughter around and alwasy sleeps on her bed with her.

Smudge is a different cat altogether. Loves to be outdoors, always hunting, always fighting, struts up and down like she owns the village, fights the male cats and there's only ever one winner (her!) Sometimes will want fuss (on her terms at all times) other times she is quite grumpy!
