Finally, this little fellow (is it a hawk?) caught a small bird and brought it back to the screening outside our bungalow, unfortunately it was too late to save it..:(

How beautiful are they, you certainly got a lovely selection Mags, the hawk looks very like the ones we get here...

Oh a hoopoe! How fantastic and an egret - we do actually see them in our local harbour, they've taken up residence and herons and that naughty hawk, not sure what sort he is. Wow!!!! Did you pay them all to pose so beautifully???

Thanks for naming the birds Angie, I had no idea what they were!:D

The birds appear to be tamer than ours as you can get quite close to them before they fly away..:D

On looking at these pictures again Mags -
1. Lesser pied kingfisher (possibly!)
2&3 Cattle egret
4. Pelican
5. Don't know.
67&8 Hoopoe
9. Spur-winged plover (possibly!)
10. Hooded crows and cattle egret.
11. Don't know.
12. Don't know.
13&14 Little egret
15,16&17 Not sure but could be female Merlin!

OH and I have had fun trying to track these birds down!! Many thanks. :D :D :D

Thank you to you and your OH so much for naming the birds, Angie - that's very useful to know:D

What a coincidence there was a Merlin amongst them too!:-D I hope the old boy is well..:D
