Glorious colours Mags - wonderful to see plants that we may think of as exotics in their element. Am I being dumb, what is that last picture?

A flock of birds?

Afraid not MrsH :D It's actually from a tropical tree called a cotton tree or kapok tree........ it is what is used to stuff cushions, duvets etc with. The tree produces large seed pods and when they are ripe the seeds drop covered in fluffy fibre. It is so soft and silky to feel..

When I saw it the first day I thought it was giant dandelion 'clocks'..:lol:

Wow, I think a splash of colour underestimates it!! The first flower looks like one they have in Greece which I have always admired

That's a bougainvillea BC, they grow well in many hot countries :D I bought one to grow in a pot a few years ago, but it has never grown or flowered very well........ maybe I need to put it in front of a sunlamp to get more warmth! :-D
