I don't have a scale, and Leia hasn't been weighed since she was at the vets a year ago!! She looks about the same...will last years figure count? She is, as you know, a big cat ........

Hehe my hubby weighs them by weighing just himself, then himself and a squirming, protesting kitty ;)

Bubbles is at 5.1kg and Fizz is at 4.8kg

5.4 kg (11.90 lbs)

When I took Merlin to the vets on Monday he weighed 3.75 kg - he had not lost any further weight from his previous weigh, but on 17/12/05 he weighed 5.0 kg

I do not envy people whose cats are overweight but I do wish Merlin could help out and take some of their excess.

Trinity said that Merlin could have her extra pounds as she looses them she will be sending them in the post with a special cuddle and kiss from neo too. xx

I was thinking the same thing, Grete! I don't think Guinness or Simon were in the tummy measurement thread, were they? But they're the heaviest cats so far.......

I'm thinking because we measured the hangy down part too, we measure how big they *have* been (just like in humans and saggy skin after weight loss).

Bubbles was quite a bit heavier before we put her on her light food, I can't remember now how heavy she was. She still needs to come down more poor kitty.

Interesting point, Grete! But Leia has never been on a diet, and has had the hangy down tummy since she was an adult cat; she'll be nine next month. I think many spayed females get it; all of mine but Patches had it. Patches ate like a stevedore and never weighed more than 8 1/2 pounds, she was always a skinny cat! I wish I had her metabolism!! :-D

Were they weighed at their last vet visit? That's allowed. I don't have a scale so used that figure for Leia .........

Posh weighs 3.2kg. ( 7lb ) She's all fluff and blue eyes :-)

We had her weighed when she first came to us, and she was 2.8kg (6lb 8oz) then... skin and bone; hence her name, sorry Mrs Beckham :oops:

Do we get a prize for the supermodel cat?:-D
