You know how i won the art crylics comp and have been desperate for something special to remember Winston by. Well none of the pictures i have sent them have a high enough resolution for the engraving and i have lost all the best pictures of him to people promising to draw him for me. Artcrylics have now sugested I take a new picture of him and ofcourse I cannt:cry:

aww Elaine!! I'm so sorry love. Could you not try and take a pic of one of your pics of him with a higher megapixel camera? Would that not work?
Oh Elaine,im so sorry send me a couple of the pictures that you like and ill see if Ed can do anything with them
Elaine I did a search here for pics of Winston and these posts go back to 2005, maybe one of these photos may be ok?:?

Oh Elaine - do you really mean that your original photos are gone and won't be returned? What a shame. But nobody can take away your memories, remember.
I was going to suggest the same as Mags - we've seen lots of pics of the old boy. What about his 21st party pic? That was lovely.

I have all my boxes of photos looked out and will have a good look through and see if i can find any.
His 21st birthday was one that I emailed to them and several others from my photo bucket. They say they are too small and the resolution isnt high enough. If i can find a photograph maybe the best idea would be to post it to them but I am afraid that it might be another photo lost if i do.

There are old style photo shops that will copy your pics onto photo paper and I have to say they do still look like the originals, they take a couple of days and mine cost £5 but it may be worth doing that with a pic you have and then sending that rather than the original.

Good idea BC.
I have emailed them with these two, and hopefully they will be good enough.

I scanned the photos in and pushed up the resolution on them and they have been accepted:D I got a lovely e-mail saying how handsome he was and that they have a rescue cat call Winston. They also sent me a picture of what it will look like when finnished. I'll post it later for you, its really nice and i am chuffed to bits again.:D
So very very pleased for you Elaine.....seriously pleased.

I'm so glad for you Elaine. As a newer member of Catsey, I had not seen a picture of your dear Winston. He was such a lovely boy - I do so hope that you are pleased with the result. It would have been really heartbreaking for you to have lost your best photos.
I keep saying that digital cameras are the best invention of recent years. I was so glad to get some good pictures of Merlin just before Christmas and I (and everyone else too I'm sure) knows how cherished these pictures are. Lol.
