It was gorgeous Fran, dont do it now but once a months at dads guarenteed, maybe its a midlands things,i know of a couple of others who used to.
Elaines Graham fessed up to eaing raw pork sausages too

I used to suffer alot and still do know with my stomache and raw prk was really the only thjing that I could eat (other than fruit/veg) that didnt bloat me,so maybe thats why I used to eat it,it was one of the few foods that I didnt associate with tummy cramps and being bloated,I dunno but all I know is that I ate it and like it

I confess I have eaten raw sausage too, actually prefer them raw to cooked. Don't do it now though!!

I was always wary of giving the dogs raw pork, but apparently it is fine and they never suffer any ill effects!

I'm with Elaine and Kazz, no half bloody meat for me! And don't like sausages; wouldn't dream of eating one raw...trichanosis, not to mention the yuk factor! Anyone here eat sushi, sashimi, steak tartare or cevice (sp?) Man discovered fire for a reason... :-D

Some things we eat other people find weird. I grew up having waffles with chicken gravy (homemade); but everyone I've mentioned this to laughs their heads off, never heard if it!

Raw pork or even pork sausages . . . never  I too have been taught that pork is the one meat (together with chicken) that you cook thoroughly. Is it a midlands thing then??? Even in my 2 years at Stourbridge, mixing with many of the locals that lived on my estate, I never came across anyone that loved raw sausage.

Cured sausage is a different thing, but not raw :)

Now sushi, tuna carpacio or steak tartare . . . yummy :D

Maybe it is a Midland thing..................where are Dawn and Smudgley to confirm.

Well, I'm a Southerner and have eaten raw sausage for years with no ill effects!! ;) I'm with kazz, if I do eat meat it has to be well done. I don't eat steak much now, but the thought of a rare one makes me :smt078

Me too! When eating out with friends who like to go a local well known steakhouse I always order fish or chicken because they practically refuse to do it well done!!

Ah now, raw bacon rind.......... lovely!!!! My mother always used to cut the rind off bacon and I used to eat that. Once, the GP was in the house at the time and said it was perfectly safe and not to worry about it! Sorry, never considered eating raw sausages and don't think I'll try now. Like mine very well done with lots of buttery mashed pots and onion gravy!
