Good pics.
What a squelchy area, near the gate! It's amazing how the ground recovers, isn't it? They've got plenty of good grass as well though

Lovely pics, I've liked horses all my life but never had the opportunity to ride one.

We have a horse rescue centre near us and it's so nice to see all the old ones being cared for.

That is the area where they stand and wait to be fed, (and roll over and over in the mud!!!!) if you look at the pic of Brandy the field goes right along and round the corner to the right. (out of sight). They have lots of space. Occasionaly she fences areas off to allow the grass to re-grow too.

The lady who actually owns them rents fields off people, she has a lot of rescue horses, and one happens to be my neighbour, which also prevents anyone from building at the back of us.

Awww, bless, aren't they gorgeous??

Laminitis can be so awful and sometimes fatal but your friend seems to really have the situation under control there.

I'm especially loving Charlie!! :cat21

Mags it's a very painful condition of the feet. Here's a link to what it is - thought it would be easier than trying to explain..

It can be very nasty Mags and sadly once a horse or pony has had a laminitis they tend to be prone to it for the rest of their lives, hence needing restricted grazing etc...

They are spoilt rotten he doesn't run around as much as the others (hence the round tum)

Rodney has come along way in being spproached he was terrified of everything. The neighbours do all the work for them and it keeps the young. ;)
Have to say Jac I do feel lucky as they are always there and I never tire of looking at them. Also there is less waste in our house because the horses get it all, which is a bonus for them :D
