Ok well most of you know by now, this little lad of Mildred's is staying here with us, not least because he is so tiny in comparison with the rest of the kittens but he is showing great promise for the show bench ;) Anyhow, this little lad needs a name as 'Runty' is sticking and he is now answering to it  So suggestions please?? I don't normally have much problem choosing names but all the names I like just don't seem to suit him :?

Here's a few piccies of him for inspiration :-D

Very very gorgeous he is. His face is full of expression.

How about Elaia, which is greek for mole (cos he is velevty) also translates as olive for his colour
Or Leptos which is Greek for small??

Do you want a show name though Fran or just your pet name

Thanks both :D

BC - great name suggestions! I am after a pet name for him.

He is a very special lad as he was one of those that was hand reared and gave us a couple of scary moments when we didn't think he would make it, he's a total love bug and thinks I am his mummy

Was going to call him Samson since the little girl we are keeping is called Delilah but he really doesn't strike you as a Samson  He's too weedy

If you liked Balloo, there is always "Mowgli" or perhaps "Kipling" after the author!

Other characters in the story.
Kaa- he was the Python.
Akela -he was a Wolf.
Khan - as in "Shere-Khan the Tiger.

Got some lug 'oles on him and is a dream of a colour. lovely kitten Fran.
Dawn.

Dawn, I'm loving 'Kipling' So based on that name then what show name would you give him?

Fran

Okay, going with the Kipling theme what about calling him Rudy as his pet name, not disimilar from Runty? :)

If his pet name is to be Kipling
His show name could be Exceedingly Handsome lol
(sorry corny I know) I'll go away now

On a serious note though I think that either Rio, Chester, Quincey or Jet would suit him. I have to admit I thought of Batfink with those ears bless him.
For a show name how about something like ermm Magical Moment, Velvet Touch or Touch of Velvet.

Either way he is a gorgeous little fella you must be so proud of him :)

We thought about something with 'Exceedingly' in the name but with my Prefix it would be too many letters

Dreams of Blue Velvet is super!

If you go for Kipling he could be C......e Cup Cake, nice and aliterative.

Of the suggestions I think the last - Blue for house name and Dreams of Blue Velvet as pedigree is smashing.

I've woken up sans inspiration this morning, i'm afraid. If anything strikes during the day I'll come back - unless you reach a decision before that.

He's gorgeous anyway

Edit: What about Atom for daytime and Ch...e Mighty Atom for best, and you would always know that he was the Mighty Atom, even though you didn't use that all the time.:)

"Fremlin of Burwash"????

(I've always liked the name "Fremlin" - real ale fans will recognise it I'm sure and "Burwash" is the village where Rudyard Kipling's house Bateman's is situated).
