I don't like Zoo's - well I liked Jersey Zoo and Chester Zoo but in general don not like Zoo's

I would be interested in what they say too Dawn.

You should go on a safari....you would get some Earth stopping shots there.

Those lemurs really know how to pose for pictures don't they. I also love the gentle smile on the orang utan's lips - he's beautiful!

We went to Regent's Park Zoo before Christmas and I didn't find it a nice experience at all. The animals all had an air of sadness about them - there was no neglect, and the keepers were all very caring about their charges but it just didn't feel right :(

I would be interested to know what issues you had and if the zoo are able to respond to them adequately for you Dawn.

Just spoke to my sister and she went to Dudley zoo with Jack's special school a couple of years ago - as a parent helper and a lot of the parent she said were "uneasy" about the place.


Not sure if they complained but apparently they never went back as a school. :(

I have taken up my concerns with the RSPCA today. I am not an overly sensitive person, but a couple of things I saw I didnt like. They are supposed to be visiting the Zoo within the next 48hrs, so i will fill you in on the details when I hear back from them. I expect they will have good excuses though!

If they offered one that skipped the megafauna and concentrated on things like leopards, hyenas, did-diks, birds like the harpy eagles, storks and so forth that would be brilliant......

That Tiger is stunning they are my all time favourite animals. (probably why I take to tabbies so much)
