Can someone please advise me....

Misty has become very quiet over the last hour or so, she is not interested in food and is sitting hunched up looking really sad.... do you think the streamers she ate have now caused a blockage, as she last pooed Sunday am at the lastest.

Donna, I really think you should contact an emergency vet, it doesn't sound too good!

Oh dear poor Misty. I hope she will be ok Donna and that the streamers havent caused any blockage or damage.
I used to have a cat that would eat the handles off of carrier bags, needless to say we would always try to keep them out of his grasp.
there was one time that he had a bit of carrier bag hanging from his butt, we gave him butter to try to ease the passage, vets advice but this was many years ago. Probably not such a good idea thinking about it now but thats what we were told to do.
Sorry thats no help Donna. Will have everything crossed that she is ok xxx

If in doubt Donna, call your vet out.

I hope everything is ok.

Good Luck Donna... keep us posted...

My emergency vets have said that as she has not vomited it is not dangerous as yet.. they say she is probably in a bit of discomfort as she is a bit bunged up.

They said to keep an eye on her and if she vomits to phone them back immediately... luckily they are only five mins drive away...

Does this sound ok?

sounds like good advice to me, they probably have to deal with a lot of calls like this, this time of year. Hope she's ok Donna x

Will be up most of the night no doubt keeping an eye on her in case she is sick... she looks so miserable hiding away under my chair in the dining room.

Poor baby :( She must be uncomfortable :( Hope she shows some movement in the rear soon!

I think the vet gave good advice but don't hesitate to call them again if you think she is going downhill.

Poor Misty, I hope it is nothing more than being slightly constipated..:(

Just out of interest Donna, is the piece on tinsel still showing?

The thread showing yesterday was two bits. one quite short that came out and the other snapped as i pulled it.... she is laying flat out like a slug.... bit concerned.

She has had a wander... done a wee... eaten a little bit of cheese (not the best thing I know, but wanted to see if she was interested), laying on chair now.

Could she have done her poops in the garden without you noticing, Donna?

Well as least she's perked up a bit! Can you give her some catalax to ease things through? I know it's new years day and everywhere's shut, but the emergency vet should have access to a tube for you to use.

We have poop!!! Lots and lots with string in it so am feeling confident we have got over this "daft Misty episode".

Thanks for all your support and suggestions everyone... it really does help knowing there are people to help.
