Very well Kazz :) although I think my back has given up, just uploading the photos :)
Sounds like a picture fest coming up I was going out there today but I have a heavy cold and can get nothing done in between sneezing........very irritating

:) One side the border is now done, although I will make them slightly bigger, and they will have a brick edge.
I dug all of this myself :)

The edge does need to be redone as I mentioned above slightly larger, so far it is 1.3 metres and finished will be 1.5 metres.
They are going to be stunning Emma....looks good already but when settled in in Mid Summer..........OUT OF THIS WORLD.

Ah-ha! gardening enthusiasts!!! I have a new border (I'll post a picture tomorrow as it's dark here now). It is not very large, east facing but sheltered and I would appreciate any planting advice anyone could give!
You've done really well EmmaG - lovely blue sky and I could see your shadow!

A gardener here also! I'm completely redoing my back garden (long story) and will also be posting pics and soliciting advice...what sort of exposure do you have, Angie?

Thanks Kazz and everybody else, I found some bulbs down the garden, split one open and it looks live still so I might plant those and also buy some new ones :)
Undulating borders - lovely!!! And some interesting plants by the look of it. Strucure AND colour? It's looking good already, but once that's filled out later in the season it's going be super! :D
Thats what I meant what Yola said......I just could not word it so well.....:)
It's looking great Emma.....well done!!

Very good, Well done you.:-D
You have a lovely variety of climber there Emma. I love Passion Flowers...no idea why I don't have one.
I like the idea of a blackberry too. :)
It should look really really stunning in the Spring its looks great now...well done isn't it nice working in the garden.
Do the cats join you out there, I miss gardening with the cats. Gardeningwith the dogs is totaly different they steal my tools, and gloves.

Thanks Jac,
Yes Karen, the cats always keep my company, Bronwyn will only go outside if we are out there as well, Arthur loves going outside when we are about but he will disappear mousing into the field at the back of the property. They both had fun today walking ontop of the new fence!!! lol
The garden looks really good Emma. Are you enjoying yourself, then replanning the garden.

Yes it is great fun Karen, and amazing how much can be done in a day. However my back suffers terribly when I do heavy gardening. Although most of that is done now :) I have a few iris's to be moved and a couple of hollyhocks and a few other plants, need to order my veg begs and get them in place.

Thanks Alex. How is your garden coming along??

Well, things are coming back to life at the moment thank goodness. And as the cat pen has been put up the back there is a great space at the side of it for the rabbit hutch to go, but need to grass it first. Once that is moved from the side of the playhouse then going to regrass there and perhaps put in a small veg patch for the girls. I cant wait for the ground to dry out enough to cut the blasted grass lol!
Wow Emma, your garden looks great!! :)

Well we installed the veg plots today, nothing in them apart from some stawberries in pots in the fleece covered one. We are going to clear around the veg plots and lay some shingle to neaten it up a bit.

Yes they are Alex, 1m x 2m, you can get them smaller and I think they are a great idea, nice and neat and very easy to assemble.
Looking really good Emma....

The garden is looking stunning Emma. Really lovely I envy you that much space......and views.
Well maybe envy is the rong word but I would love a bigger garden.
What seeds have you scattered round your herbs? poppies etc. And what have you put in your planters
EmmaG

Thanks for your kind comments, Kazz the borders are SLOWLY filling up, costing a small fortune buying shrubs etc for them :) but I don't want to fill them up too quickly in case I see a plant I really want.
In the planters their is aquilegia, cornflower, and Campanula.
Between the herb pots I have Canterbury Bells Mixed and poppies :)
See I knew there would be poppies.....:)

Beautiful, Emma! A lot of thought and hard work went into making that.....
It looks lovely Emma, you've certainly worked hard there..:D
I used to like your big tree (willow?) in the centre of your garden but must admit that by taking it out, it has transformed your garden and made it look a lot bigger....... you could hold a Catsey BBQ easily with all your space now! ;)

Borders looking a bit fuller now :)
I had to put some bark chippings down at the back of the borders as the weeding was getting quite a chore, now I only need to weed the front of the borders which is more managable.

That's looking lovely, Emma!
Is that a Sambusca/Black Elder I spy on the table. And the lupin is smashing a lovely colour. And at least one poppy I think.
You are right the weeds are shooting up I am thinking of putting bark down at the back too.....the borders are filling nicely.
