.. my cats love sleeping cuddled up together.. they have a bed each but they can't obviously sleep together (they are the standard cat beds). My random thought is that I could buy one of those inexpensive large plastic dog beds, line it with blankets/towels/whatever.. then they could sleep together!

Can't believe I didn't think of it sooner!!!!

Does anyone else do this?

lol, good idea! My lot all prefer to sleep seperately and the foster cats who do like to sleep together are all small enough to fit onto a normal cat bed. But I like your thining.

Having 3 dogs, I have 3 plastic dog beds with duvets in them, and the cats always sleep in them...I prefer them to cat beds..

yes my cats love to sleep in the dog beds!
if you go to a fabric shop and buy a couple of metres of fleece and use that as a blanket your cats will love ya! You don't need to sew the fleece cause it doesn't fray - all my cats adore fleece :D
