Hi all, I havn't posted since last summer, when my other cat Rosie was ill, she's fine now.I took Abby my other cat to the vet yesterday, he said he can feel an abdominal lump.

He's given her something for the sickness, and started her on steroids.
I've got to take her back on Monday for a check.
He could operate, and have a look, but she'll be 17 in July.
It could be benign or malignant, but often the steroids can give them several more months of good quality life.
She's still eating well, and belting round the house.

At least Husband will stop moaning about her being sick on the carpets now !
I can't make too much fuss in front of him, because his elderly Mother died on Christmas Eve

Thanks folks, the vets being very guarded on how serious he thinks it could be.
I wondered if any of you had experience of elderly cats with abdominal tumours ?

Sorry also about your family's loss and also sorry to hear of Abby's lump - very worrying for you, but as you say she is still eating and rushing about at the moment, I am sure we all hope it is benign.
