Have any of our Scottish members tried these tarts?

If so, how do they compare to mince pies?
Never heard of them, will look out for them though...
They sound really nice, especially with almonds in, I'll have to keep a look out for them in Sainsbury's.....

Only teasing, chum, I know you're as pure as the driven snow (in Pittsburgh ...)
Well I managed to find some Ecclefechan tarts in Sainsbury's today and naturally I had to test one!;)
They're delicious ! It's an open tart and it tastes like a cross between a mince pie and a treacle tart ...........they don't taste as sweet as a mince pie.
I think I'll definitely be buying a couple of boxes for Christmas!:D
