Have any of our Scottish members tried these tarts?

If so, how do they compare to mince pies?

Well I managed to find some Ecclefechan tarts in Sainsbury's today and naturally I had to test one!;)

They're delicious ! It's an open tart and it tastes like a cross between a mince pie and a treacle tart ...........they don't taste as sweet as a mince pie.

I think I'll definitely be buying a couple of boxes for Christmas!:D
