Am taking Amber to work with me tomorrow (if I can grab her in the morning - last time she had me running around the house and under the beds trying to catch her )
She absolutely refuses to do anything in her litter tray! Mostly she goes outside, but if for some reason she is in for any period of time, she will toilet in the corners of the room rather than her litter tray.
I know this can be the first sign of a urinary problem, and so she is off for a little exam to see if we can figure out why - or if it's purely because she enjoys watching me clean up after her, like I don't do it enough at work
Poor Amber, I hope she's alright and you can get to the bottom of aversion to her litter tray....:?

I do hope it's nothing physical! We've had so many threads here about what my former vet delicately referred to as "inappropriate defacation"......
Good luck, do let us know how she gets on....
Hope all goes well, and you find out why she is doing it...

she must have been taking lessons :-D
Well the vet couldn't feel or see anything wrong with her, so we're thinking along the lines of stress possibly due to the dog  I'm going to get a urine sample anyway just to test for any crystals, but main thing to try at the moment is a Feliway diffuser and a hooded litter tray and see how we get on :D
How did Amber get on at the vets today Hayley?

Glad it doesn't seem to be anything serious; good luck with the Feliway and new tray!
