I was reading all that and thought how good it sounded Eileen ................. and then came the bombshell....poor Leia didn't like it!!

You can always try it on Onyx, I bet she won't be fussy!

Onyx has been the eager recipient of all the stuff I've tried that Leia refuses! She gobbled the diet food the vet recommended and the low-cal dry one I got to take a pound or so off Leia; bless that hungry little black girl, she will eat anything!

Doesn't that new dry food sound great, though? I will add just a wee bit to her other dry food in the hope she'll get used to it...

Chancer was like Onyx DM, would eat anything I put down, he has now got a bit fussy, knows what he likes!!!

That's a good idea Eileen, gradually add more and more to Leia's normal food and hopefully she will get a taste for it....

Bless that picky Chancer! Misty hadn't been homeless as long as he was, but she never forgot the days there was no food and to the day of her death, ate anything! Especially aged cheddar! And sardines...shes the only cat I've ever owned that liked sardines....

Moli, that's the Paul Newman. He does a line of organic pasta sauces and other good natural stuff also..

Hehe shame she doesn't like it, fussy girl ;)

The only brush I've had with organic cat food is when we first had Bubbles and it's what she had been fed on at the rescue place (they'd had a load donated). Omg did she fart often and they stank!

The pasta sauce is good, isn't it? The things we learn on Catsey!!

Update: I gave Onyx quite a bit of it mixed in with her tin, and she gobbled it; even pushed her plate aside with her paw to see if any food had fallen off the plate, bless her!

Mixed a wee bit in with Leia's moist food, and she ate it!

Looks as if it won't be going to waste.....:-D

Have to be, when we have a Prima Donna! I knew Onyx would eat it, but Leia can be very, very picky!!!

How they differ but it wouldn't do for them all to be the same. Much like us.

So true, Kay! Onyx is a joy to feed; she often does that pushing the plate aside to check for scraps, and one time, I'd left the plastic fork lying on the steps when I went to fill the bird feeder; when I came back she was holding it down with her paw and licking the last remnants of gravy off it!! And of course I didn't have the camera...

Aww bless her. She is really coming around isn't she.

LOL..that's too funny..have you tried the Newmans Own canned? Once in awhile, Kuan Yin likes to eat the Chicken/Brown Rice formula:D

No, Tink, didn't know they made it; not carried at my Safeway! Sounds interesting, will do a Google and see if I can find some....thanks! Although Leia (AKA Ms. Picky!) is not big on rice...I always use long grain brown rice and sneak some in her food occasionally, which she doesn't much appreciate...:-D
