Sorry it's taken me soooooooo long to post a picture of my rescue cat, Oscar, but here he is at long last! Hubby really wanted another ginger cat whereas I wanted a tabby. Guess what? Not only have we been able to adopt Oscar from the RSPCA but I've also been able to secure a tabby from the Cats Protection League. She's not ready for me to take her home yet as she's still feeding her kittens (I know, you're all going to say I should have had the kittens too, but come on... 5 of them!!!)

Hopefully, as long as the blood tests and the spaying goes OK we should be able to bring her home next month (November).

This one was taken immediately after we opened the cat carrier:

And this one was a couple of days later. Notice the body language...already beginning to feel at home:

By the way, he doesn't have liquid gold eyes...just the normal green ones but my digital camera will insist on reflecting on cats' eyes.

He is *gorgeous* Ann :)

Such a difference in body language between the 2 pics although he looks really curious rather than afraid in that first one :) Brave boy :)

Such a lovely pink nose ( I love pink noses). He is very clean and has lovely fur for a rescue, How very good of you to end up with two and especially the mother rather than a kitten. Oscar is fabulous

He's gorgeous Ann, I take it by the bald patch on his neck he was blood tested, can I ask what for and is he ok?
As for the mum cat, the kittens will find a good home, the mothers tend to get neglected over the kittens so good for you for choosing her and I hope the intro's go well between her and Oscar;) :D xxx

Babycakes...he does have a lovely pink nose, but any ideas how to keep it clean? My last cat, Tigs, got pigmentation on it.

Elaine...he was routinely blood tested by the RSPCA for FIV (I think). And, yes he is clear.

What a handsome boy! He looks so apprehensive in the first shot, and what a difference in the second! And I echo the others: well done for taking the mum cat!!
