reggie not too well today

well yesterday he slept virtully all day, just went off for a wee,then came back in again, he hid him self off on th top of the wardrobe. well eventully he came to me, and i was stroking him,down the body to his tail. and hes got a big bump on his tail.he wouldnt lift his tail like he normally does, and was crying.poor baby, hes a bit better today.i can touch it, but he wont let me examine it.
so once ive been to the hosp with OH 2morow ill try n get him into the vets. think its abscess, theres a big bully cat who keeps on having a go at him.
so hes having lots of strokes, but im also letting him sleep lots.

Por Reggie - that's a classic place for an abscess.
Will he let you bathe it with warm salty water? Might help ease it for him until you can get some magic antibiotics. Bet he will be his normal rogueish self within half a day of his vet visit!

Definately sounds like an abcess to me judging by his behaviour and how quick the lump has appeared. Amber had an abcess in exactly the same place a few months back.

The vets should give him a clip and clean up tomorrow. A good clean and some antibiotics with daily bathing he'll be as right as rain and running rings around you again before you know it :-D

hes letting me touch it now. hes quite happy snoozing on my lining of my bike leather, which is on the bed. hes eating ok which is another good sign, drinking well (steals the dogs water LOL)

How's Reggie today? If it is an abcess or bite try bathing it with a solution of warm water and bi-carbonate of soda. It has wonderful healing powers.

been bathing it, and today he was out all day (was getting worried) but when he came in the absess had gone, it must of burst, but ive bathed it with salty water, and hes quite happy now, his tails up in the air flicking around, but hes not happy with me touching it. so ill wait till hes asleep.:D
but thanx for your concern, never had this prob when they where indoor cats, when we move again im gonna keep them in i think.
