Who is your favourite comedian/comedienne, living or dead, home or abroad ?

I'm not really into comedians these days, but I used to love Norman Wisdom.

My favourites were Morcambe & Wise ........ just the look on Eric's face used to get me in stitches! :lol:

I like Peter Kay & Frank Skinner, I kind of like Roy Chubby Brown too, even though he is very close to the knuckle, he is very funny. :-D

Hmmm lets see, I find Peter Kay hysterical, Jack Black (and Tenacious D), Ricky Gervais, Jo Brand, Jasper Carrott, Alan Davies, Lee Evans, Dawn French, Lenny Henry, Dave Gorman, Denis Leary, Steve Punt, Hugh Dennis to name a few ;)

There used to be an American in the 80s called Kelly Monteith, he was excellently funny. Also Ben Elton in his day was superb.

Some of Jasper Carrot's early stuff is good, likewise with Billy Connolly and Robin Williams.

I did see Phill Jupitus live several years ago and I was in tears of laughter - which is rare for me :roll: Stuff like Fithy Rich and Catflap with Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmonson I also liked (+ young ones etc).

I don't go huge bundle on the 'new' lot, Ricky Gervais (although local boy) completely baffles me :shock:

I saw Jasper Carrot live and he was brilliant although it was a good few years ago.
Billy can be really funny but as a kid it had to be Norman Wisdom. He had me in stitches just looking at him.

Now a days if something is listed as a comedy I tend not to watch it as I don't find them funny. Oh humbug does that make me sound like I don't have a sense of humor?

I think comedy has changed so much these days, there doesn't appear to be any comedians now that I would call outstanding. I do like Peter Kay though..:D
