There's nothing for me
of day's that used to be,
there's just a memory among my souveniers.
A photograph or two,
the collar worn by you
some rosettes, red and blue
among my souveniers.
A few more tokens rest
within my treasure chest,
and though they do their best
to give me consolation,
I count them all apart
and as the tear drops start,
I find a broken heart
among my souveniers.
This came about after looking through a bag of old collars belonging to my much loved and much missed dogs, Sam Gypsy and Gyp. And finding a couple of Oz and Cleats old collars that were worn by first Gyp then Sal then Tess, as first puppy collars - cat collars are great for Staffie pups.:-D
