The girls attend a really good club here on a saturday morning. Lots of traditional games and a place to let off steam. It only costs £1 each for them every week which I think is really good value. They put on a couple of trips each year (summer and Christmas) and take the kids and their families. Usually free of charge or very low cost. So today we went to the safari park and we had a whale of a time:D . The sun came out and it got very hot. I got soaked on the water ride:roll: and all came home shattered. Here are some pics of our day. We especially loved seeing the white lions, gorgeous!! Hayleys only disapointment was that there weren't any monkeys lol!!

Glad you had a good day out sounds like a great club.

Do you know Ive never been to a safari park...I dislike zoo's intently. But not sure about safari parks.

I don't like zoos either Kazz, but I feel differently about safari parks. The animals have so much more space to move about in. And when going into the white lion enclosure there is a sign saying there are less than 70 of them in the world today!!! At least in safari parks they aren't being hunted! It took us almost 2 hours to go round all the reserves!!!

we had a great day Mags. Robert and Raechel went on all the fast scary rides, while Hayley and I did the kiddie rides lol, so everyone was happy. They hadn't been before so it was a great experience for them.

Wow, never heard of this place!! I spent 2 years in Stourbridge in the 80s, with a lot of time spent toward Stourport, Bewdley etc . . . maybe it wasn't around then? I would love to go (any excuse to revisit my old stomping ground), so must look it up as it looks a brilliant day out :D

So pleased you had such a super time with your family Alex :-D

Domimc would love it Yola, and they also have new section called cub kingdom which has rides for Sebastians age! We're hoping to go back next year and do the extra safari bus which if you pay an extra £3.50 per person they will take you round the park in their own bus and drive up a lot closer to the animals so you can see them properly, they then take you back to the car park to collect your own car and you can then drive round the reserves at your own pace on the roads. You can also buy boxes of special food to feed the giraffes, camels etc. I guarantee Dom would love it!!

lol, if I'd known it was only about 5 mins from your house I would have said too Erin!! Didn't realise it was quite so near to me tbh. it only took us 45 mins on the coach, so I reckon 30 mins by car. I'll need to pop round to yours for a coffee at some point Erin lol!!
