I will have to go soon as I have to go and pack up my show case for a show tomorrow. I am taking one of my neuters. She is a Premier already and is going to try for Grand Premier Challenge Certificates now. A friend of mine who has two of my babies is going to show her Colourpoint girl. I bred her so I am very excited to see how she does. I will have just about everything crossed tomorrow. ;)

Thanks.

You can't advertise that a certain cat is going to a certain show so I will let you know all the details tomorrow when I get back. Sorry

What show?
I suppose I can say the show if I don't say the cats name.:?

It is the Wyvern in Kings Heath, Birmingham. If anyone feels like popping along I will be there in the Persian Neuter section. You can look my pen number up in the catalogue I come from Anglesey but can't say my surname on here as it is sort of advertising. You can pm me and I can tell you that way though. I would be lovely to see any Catsey members. :)

Well I have just got back to my mum's and I am floating on cloud nine. :D :D

I nearly didn't take Kisses as she is out of coat but I am glad I did. She got her PC in her open class, her GR PC in her grand class, 1st in one side class and 3rd in her other.

As if that wasn't enough my friend took her colourpoint girl, who I bred, and she did excellent as well. It was her first show. She got her PC in her open class and the BOB, and 1st in her three side classes giving her a red card day.

I may come back down to earth in a few days.

Just a point but the GCCF have revied the advertising rule and you can now discuss on chatlists which shows you are going to - you cannot however tell a judge specifically you are under them.

This info was given to me by a judge :)

I hadn't heard about this. I am on a committee for a cat club and at present the club has not been informed of this change of rule so for the time being I will continue to follow the old rule. The GCCF notify all clubs of changes in rules etc via the club secretary. As soon as I hear otherwise I will be able to say who I am taking where.

Quoted from the thread where it was said. The lady is a very well known GCCF judge and I trust her opinion. She has given permission for this to be crossposted to other forums:

That is no longer a rule with GCCF. You are allowed to say which shows you are going to on chat lists etc.
The Rule states you must not let a Judge know on show day that you are entered under them until the judge has finished.

The Executive Committee realised the original rule was becoming silly; there were occasions when it was rival exhibitors that reported someone for saying they were at a show to eliminate the competition !!!! That is why it has been changed.

So I guess it's up to you but on the chatlist she posted this on we have been discussing shows and nothing has come of it ;)

I have rung the GCCF today as they aren't always quick at getting the paperwork sent out to the club secretaries. They were really helpful. The lady I spoke to even rang her boss up who was on a train at that time. I was told:-

'You are allowed to advertise that you are attending a show and with which cat but not what judge you are showing under.'
