Aah poor Milo! Dunno why the vet nurse said that, unless she's just being extra-cautious. If Milo cleans it himself then he won't overdo it, will stop if it hurts, maybe?

Awwww poor baby boy...he looks worn out!!! Dunno why she said that either maybe so he will look after himself and take responsibility for healing???

Bless him, such a handsome lad! I have no idea at all why the vet nurse would advise you to not clean the blood away :?

thanks all :) hes moved into the dogs bed now,Im going to put him on our new bed in a mo as Jerry seems to like it seeing as he hasnt moved off it since we had it delievered,so it must be comfy
I dont know why she said not to clean it,she just said to leave him to do it,I should have asked but I just wanted to get him home.
I think ill just clean it tomorrow if he hasnt managed to,it wont do any harm.
I have been given metacam to give him which is great cause i get to use a syringe and dont have to fight with him trying to get him to take tablets!!!!!

Ah...poor Milo......maybe after a good night's sleep he will feel a bit better tomorrow....

I wonder if the nurse said not to clean his nose as the dried/clotted blood is forming a seal on a cut underneath?:? If you were to bathe it, it may open the wound and start bleeding again. This way it is giving it a chance to heal so I wouldn't touch it for a few days Erin......

Poor chap. But he looks comfortable
Oh - I agree with Mags. Leave the wound to scab over. May not be pretty but it's doing a job.

Poor little man he looks like a poor wounded little soldier back from the wars.

I am sure he will be feeling back to his usual cheeky self in no time

Hope he is feeling better today. Didn't realise you meant that there was a cut underneath the dried blood. Sorry.
