Well..with everything being so hectic lately the house has had tumbleweed rolling around it, and for the first time in an age the house actually had people in for a whole day-shock horror:roll; And so much needed sorting that we just have been too busy to do, including the freezer. So much waste! But there was large, and rather tender, piece of beef in the freezer..that requires using soon! Does anyone have any interesting recipes, something even a bit different than roasted, or beef wellington or in a stew with dumplings! Any suggestions welcome:)

Pot roast it in stout/brown ale. Add some veggies towards the end of cooking. Lovely!
Serve with giant pieces of thick bread, toasted one side, spread grain mustard on the other side, pile with grated cheddar & grill. Yummy

Edit: Here's the original recipe for brisket - obviously a shorter cooking time for 'good' beef. But the marinade is great. http://www.catsey.com/showpost.php?p=359705&postcount=31
