We were mentioning begonias: here's my cane begonia; it's years old, but doesn't hate me the way rexes do! Also one of the aloes. The big one lives in the kitchen handy for burns when I'm klutzy!

Thanks! It was a cutting from Carolyn's, which was from a cutting of her mothers...letting a bit leggy, but it's about 10 years or so old....

Oh that's lovely! And blooming too! I've never tried overwintering them, will give it a try; it works for geraniums.
I have a lovely aloe in my greenhouse, will get a picture for you tomorrow...

I'd like to see it; I remember when it came up in conversation when you got burned! I swear by them, eases the pain and prevents blistering........
After you suggesting it DM, I did use it on the burn, and it worked...
That's a good tip to remember, I'm frequently burning myself on the oven

Mags, it does work! Really! I've given cuttings to friends and they swear by it too...

You just take a nice fat leaf, split it with your fingernail or something and rub the greenish gel on the burn.....relief!
