Doesn't Bootsy look in tip top condition, he has a lovely shiny coat ........love his mane too!:D

Yes it did Mags, he is so terribly over weight that he is very well behaved at the minute as he isn't fit enough nor does he have the energy to do anything else!! Another few weeks of regular riding and it might be quite a different story though :roll:

Well if he is that well behaved then, even I wouldn't mind riding him!:D I love horses!

What a handsome animal he is! And Em is a charming little equestrienne...she looks so at home and comfortable on Bootsy! Does Tom ride?
Emm looks quite at home on him, does she ride all the time...
She used to have her own pony and riding lessons but lost interest after quite a bad fall :( She loves Bootsy though and trusts him implicitly :roll: But we only allow her to ride him when we know he will behave himself, he can be quite a character at times although he is generally very good with a child on board ;)
It's her birthday next week and she is having a riding party, where her and her friends go riding in the woods and then have a stable management session. I've got the feeling she is hankering after another pony but she's nothing to come, we are getting far too old now for the long winters of mucking out horses and cleaning up the mud in the freezing cold, that's one of the reasons we only have Bootsy now. We used to have 3 horses, it's damned hard work!!
Can believe that PK, I have 2 friends with horses, and they love the summer months, but find it hard in the winter...Both of them have been trying to get me on a horse for a few years now, up till now have not done it, but must admit begining to like the idea...

Does Tom ride?
He used to ride when I had my appaloosa mare, he did have riding lessons on her but he was never really that bothered and as much as he adores Bootsy and worries over him, he doesn't have a great yearning to get on him ;)

I took a few riding lessons in my early teens and loved it! Where the Watergate complex and the Kennedy center are now (remember Nixon and the Watergate scandal?) there was a riding stable and you could ride on the trails in Rock Creek park! It was great fun!

He's a fairly big horse Yola, his width and large neck also give the impression that he is somewhat bigger than he actually is. He's around 16hh if that means anything to you?

4inches = 1 hand
Horse height is measured to the wither (shoulder) So Bootsy is 16hh to the highest point of his withers :)
does that mean Bootsey is 64 inches high???

Fran I do envy you. All I ever wanted was a horse. I started to ride when I was about 4. Oh how I miss it.
I see a difference in Bootsy. He has put a bit weight on. Just like some of us (me). that wont take long to work off.
Another change...Your hair Fran. Do I spot a different colour? A bit darker? I thought you had died the front pink then realised it was glasses:oops:

I love horses, think they are beautiful creatures but am a bit wary of them after a bad accident with my pony as a youngster.

Well spotted Jac! Yes, I died my hair brown a few months ago :shock: but I'm not keen so watch this space :roll:
