Ive had to deal with ants at work! what we did was get aunt powder and mixed in a little sugar (sugar is meant to attract ants!?!) they take it back to the nest and kill the queen. did you know that flying ants are all male! the females kick them out of the nest when they are not needed anymore..lol.

i really do hope you get the problem sorted out..good luck. i have my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear about this Jac, also try and stop them coming in if you can, they must be having access somewhere.

Oh no Jac. How awful. I think an exterminator is definitely called for - get rid of the little sods once and for all!!! :)

Try not to let it get you down, hun.

Hugs to you

Charlie, you know about all the things that have gone wrong here. This is just "another" thing to go wrong. I really do feel like moving though. We are getting an expert in.

Seems you're not the only one with this problem Jac - look at this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=207306
The borax solution looks hopeful - but I don't know whether you can use it safely around pets (especially young ones)

That's true Charlie. It's just that we only get one thing sorted then we find another.

Windex window cleaning spray seems to be a favourite 'home remedy' too. Don't know where you find it? Supermarket? Garden centre? Hardware shop?

We have been using Nippon powder, they literally drop like flies.
Derek has spent all morning digging out the old plaster and re plastering. He's doing one wall at a time. Little does he know I'm going to phone pets controll. I'm even dreaming about the little brutes.

Jane, to be honest I never gave them much thought before. They have invaded the shower room and the kitchen skirting. I just hope that's the only two places the are.
There the nasty one's that bite. I want my house back:cry: . They really are doing my head in!
