Eva isnt obliging me with a sample at all. She is back to doing small wee's and big soft extremely smelly poo's.
Vet is currently operating but will call later with what best to do next.
I am hoping they wont need to take her in to sedate and express her bladder, poor girl will be beside herself and I just know I will get upset for her.

Oh, Elaine. I'm so sorry to hear that the Diva still isn't well. I hope the vet has some easy suggestions. Fingers crossed here.

Still waiting..........................:roll: Still no urine sample...............:roll:
She seems active enough and not going to the tray frequently, just when she goes there isnt alot there.
Just want her to be erm..... normal again.
I hope the vet calls soon and something is sorted....sending pee vibes to Eva ;) (oh, and Eva, if you DO decide to pee, don't do it on the sofa ;))

I have been sat here waiting for the vet to call me since 9am this morning:mad: She has just this minute called me, the time being 16.29pm, to bloody well tell to persevere in trying to get a urine sample:mad: Why the hell couldnt they just say that this morning???
What a waste of a whole day!!!!:mad: I am mad as hell. I understand what she is saying but why the hell have me waiting all day for the phone to ring, why not just say that when I rang this morning?
I could have been out doing stuff that I need to do.:twisted:
So pissed off with that one vet that I think I'll take my cats and my business elsewhere in future.:evil:

Thats a lot of help Elaine, surely as you are having trouble getting a sample, they would have suggested you took her in!Which vet are you with??

I just dont get why she said she would call back once she had thought of the best course of action to take when it apears the best course of action to take is a bloody urine sample which the Diva is not providing.
Rant rant bloody rant, I am so pissed off at a) being unable to help Eva until I can get her to give me a sample and b) for wasting my whole bloody day for nowt.

Oh and then they say to me things like, the fresher the better, best to get the sample in with in half an hour of her doing it. How the hell am I goinjg to manage that if she decides to eventually give me a sample at say 10 pm tonight?
Have you got that special litter from the vet, they use it then it does not soak in, and is easy to put into a bottle...

There is a very good vet there who I used to see with Winston most of the time, she is also very good with Eva and her temperamental attitudes but I never get to see her now even if I specifically ask for her:shock:
The one who is dealing with Eva at the moment is scared of Eva, I fell out with her over Winston and her attitude at the begining of last year. There is also a guy there and he too is scared of Eva and even tried against my better judgment to muzzle her, she almost hit the roof.

Elaine - she's your baby thats why you are getting het up and I know why in fact I would be on the roof with you. But try to keep a calm - Eva will be better for it so will you in the long run. :)
Tell them you will only see the vet you wish to see not the others. I found that with my vets they put me onto someone else who I had to start all over again with with (as our vet had left "Pablo") Cleo and we did not Gel as soon as I took her out of the carrier he went to grab her by the scruff of her neck - MAJOR WRONG MOVE THERE ON HIS PART - I almost removed his head with my temper - must say here he never actually made contact with her scruff had he had done I would have killed him not merely had a go, she is an old lady and has never ever been lifted by her scruff.
He listened and I think he tried to get on track again but the line had been drawn as far as I was concerned when he told me "she's lost weight since the last visit and she getting on" that was it I picked her up put her in the carrier and he said "where are you going" I said I am waiting for " XYZ" you are not touching my cat.
Oddly enough I have seen him since with the dogs for boosters and Tess's poorly ear and he was great. Maybe an off day.
But the point is tell them who you want to see its your money your cat your health and temper.:)
Sure she will be fine though.

I hope something can be sorted out soon for you and Eva, Elaine ........if Eva isn't peeing properly it is up to the vet to do everything possible, even if it means getting the sample himself :mad:
Although obviously I do not condone violence or bad manners of any sort but I do have an achilles heel - its Cleo - hurt/scare her prepare to be hurt.scared in return.

Off to shut myself in the bedroom with Eva for the evening, once again. Fingers crossed that she will give the sample tonight and we can get her sorted.

Have just been reading through this thread and you make Eva sound like a crazy evil kitty :P LOL does she have temperament problems or is she just a bit strangee?

We have a sample!!!!:lol:
Little devil waited right until my alarm clock went off this morning but hurrah, we have it!!!:-D
Now we can finally move on and get her sorted I hope. I will be sitting outside the vets for opening this morning with my test tube of wee:oops: :lol:
Thankyou all for your support. I will be insisting on only seeing Heidi from now on and if I cannt get her I will find a vet that I like and that likes Eva.

The vet opens at 9am. I am hoping they will test it while I wait or atleast give me the results some time this morning, as far as I am concerned what ever it is thats bothering Eva has been bothering her for long enough and needs sorting asap.

Happy to read that Eva obliged . . . but so sorry you and she have had such a rough experience with both the vet and the bladder.
I'm hoping for a speedy recovery for her - as it can't be nice for her and must be an awful worry for you :( Hugs to the prickly Diva ;)

The results are in but the vet has gone home and the nurse cannt tell me the results, so I have to call back in the morning:roll:
Glad she finally peed for you. Hope something is sorted soon for her, poor thing.

I know Alex, its just one more x against the one who is dealing with Eva at the moment.:roll: They asked me to settle the bill today and I told them I would settle the bill once Eva has been dealt with properly. Cheeky gits.

Test results are in and the votes have been counted.
No crystals and no blood in Eva's urine. Have to carry on with the metacam until the weekend.
Eva does seem MUCH brighter today so maybe it just took longer to get it out of her system.
Oh this is good news indeed Elaine!! :D
So glad you got your long awaited results Elaine and that they are good.
