Well its just gone 1.00am and here I am logging in to jot down a poem

I woke and looking out of the bedroom window I saw her - my Cleo sitting in the garden and this poem came to me as I watched her doing whatever it is cats do in the early hours. Which appears to be nothing by the way. :)

My cat is a mystery
With shining amber eyes,
They mirror the starlight
In darkening skies

She has wonderful peace
Serenity and grace;
Moonlight caresses
Her beautiful face

She is loving and gentle
Funny and sweet,
Lazy and crazy
A tiger so fleet

And sitting in stillness
‘Neath darkening skies
My cat is a mystery
Silent and wise

Karen, that's a poem full of insight and love. Thank you for sharing it, it brought a little, slightly sad smile to my face - not sure why :roll:

Yes I know what you mean Yola it did to me too, a feeling of "serentity" almost maybe its because we are in tune she and I. And as I watched her I wondered how many more Summer evenings she would enjoy. So it was written in a saddish yet optomistic mode. Karen
