Well, she has been booked in and I'm now chewing my nails between now and then!! Yes, she's off to be speyed:? I must admit I am terrified about her going in. Full of what if's! I know I shouldn't panic, and she'll be fine, but I'm still nervous! Come tuesday morning I'll be quivering wreck!!
Ahh I'm sure she'll be fine :) Give her a hug from us :P
Don't worry! she'll take it in her stride. She might have to wear a "lampshade" if she's likely to nibble at the wound, other than that everything should be fine.

I know just how you feel, Alex; we worry so about them! But the vet thinks its time now, and she's a tough little fighter; she'll be OK, especially with all her Aunties on Catsey sending good vibes!

I agree with Eileen - the vets wouldn't let her have it done now unless they thought she was well and strong enough.
I know you'll worry - but she really will be in the best place for her and in good hands. We'll all be thinking of you and little Teddie on Tuesday! :)
Everyone has said it all Alex. Will be thinking about her and you on Tuesday. xx

Cats eh? Who'd have them? They worry us mums to bits. She'll be just fine though Alex so try not to stress too much xxx
I know exactly how you are feeling Alex as I went through this myself with Porsha recently as you know. I agree that the vet would not do it unless he is happy so try not to worry too much. I'll be thinking about Teddie on Tuesday x
She'll be fine Alex but don't be too disapointed if her tummy takes a while to settle down again afterwards, But she will be fine.

I have one very unhappy Teddie bear at the moment, she's following me around the house screaming at me for her breakfast, I feel so wicked. We're off shortly. I have no nails left already and I feel sick!! Ridiculous reaction I know, but after everything we've gone through I can't help it. Loads of good vibes for my little miss today please x
Buckets of vibes coming your way Alex.....she will be fine...
Thinking about you both today Alex. You'll probably be getting her back soon.
Oodles of good vibes being sent your way for Miss Teddie!
We really should all be pleased, for today is a day we were beginning to think Teddie would never reach with all her earlier problems.
May this be the start of her getting stronger and stronger now, Alex and less worry and more happiness for you both!:D

She's home!!!! Very sleepy still and extremely wobbly on her legs, can't walk without falling over. Conked out in her bed in the living room at the moment. I've put a litter tray and some water beside her and closed the door so the boys can't get in! She's to go back on friday for her post op check, but vet was happy with her. Said everthing is as it should be inside from what she could see and they didn't shave off too much of her fur lol!! I'm very happy my baby is home!

Good to hear she is home Alex....she will be bombing about in no time!
So pleased she is home, it looks worse than it is the groggy feeling however animals are more sensible than people and just sleep :) when she wakes up she'll be fine.
So pleased all has gone well.

Question...post-op check? Is that customary there? None of my girls (nor boys) ever had to do that. Is it because Teddie has had so many health problems in her case?
Cassie had to go back later to have her stitches out and she was given a general check over then......

It's customary at our vets after all ops that the pet is checked 48 hours after the operation. The vets also phone the day after the op to check all is well

Very interesting, Fran, I didn't know that! It's not customary here: Misty took her own stitches out, and I had to take Leia's out myself!! Patches was spayed before I rehomed her.

Yes, one of my pets had glue for something but I cannot remember which one of them and for what  Em had glue when she cut her eylid as a toddler after falling on the edge of the radiator off the toilet
I've heard of glue being used a lot in guinea pig neuters/spays.
Hope she recovers well :)
