Abi's ear infection seems to have come back again :( and I've packed the drops we had

My dad is coming to help me take her to the vets this afternoon for a check up of the ear and some more drops.

Hopefully it's no worse than it was before, but it's a bummer that it's come back again

We've been to the vet. She was surprised that the infection has come back again so quickly, so we decided to take a swab from Abi's ear and send it off for analysis - just to make sure that we're treating the right bugs. :?

The results will be back early next week. In the meantime Abi has had a shot of long-acting-antibiotic.

She's not very happy with me at the moment!! :(

Oh no Charlie, poor Abi :( I do hope the swab reveals answers that can be treatable long term. Gentle cuddles to Abi from me x

How is Abi now Charlie? I do hope she is starting to feel better. When do you get the swab results?

Thanks Fran. She's okay in herself, but her ear is very gungy and crusty :? She scratches it a bit, but isn't going mad with it - thank goodness. The antibiotic injection she had doesn't seem to have stopped the gunk :(

The swab results will be back on Mon or Tues and then the vet will ring me with the appropriate course of action.

I do hope the swab result will provide answers which can then easily be treatable. Por Abi :(

So do I.

I'm so nervous now that it's going to start affecting her balance again - I keep watching out for her to see if she's wobbling!!!!

She's probably more bothered by me mollycoddling her than by her actual ear infection!! lol :D
