He's really good isn't he??

I'm glad they've put Damon through as well though. I know the judges didn't like him tonight, but I did, and I'm sure he'll bring back Bubbles for the final instead of the chimp lol!

Should be a really good show tomorrow, I'm just hoping Damon has a good act for it. Connie was so sweet, and I agree with Simon, she can sing. Okay, her voice was a bit wobbly in parts, but when you listened to how she actually put expression in to the song, it was amazing!

She is very sweet but I really am rooting for Paul Potts, I think he is brilliant!

I'm a bit disillusioned with Paul now, after it was revealed in the papers that he has had lead roles in opera touring productions and also actually had training as part of a course in Italy, from none less than Pavarotti! kind of makes me feel cheated a bit!

I'm so pleased little Connie is through to the final.......I didn't think her song last night was quite as good though. I'm glad she is singing "Somewhere over the Rainbow" tonight...:D

How do you know what she is singing tonight Mags? Is there an article somewhere?

The two winners, although it was Connie's mum, were interviewed on Sky straight after the programme. The interviewer (can't remember his name) asked Connie's mum what she would be singing in the final, to which she asked if she was allowed to say. He said of course she could tell him......that's when she said it was "Somewhere over the rainbow" again. The interviewer said "oops"..... so I don't think she was supposed to have said which song!

Wow.....how can you pick a winner from all those!!! They were all excellent in their different talents..

I'm still rooting for little Connie though, that song was made for her and I too ended up with watery eyes :D

aww bless!! Just been watching the itv2 show, the aftershow one, britains got more talent, and they had an interview with the other finalists, wee Connie didn't appear, they put her uncle on instead, the poor wee soul was a bit upset!!

Mags
17-06-2007, 11:32 PM
Poor Connie, bless her, she is too young to understand and I suppose if she had won, they couldn't really have given her a recording contract could they?

alexgirl73
17-06-2007, 11:35 PM
No they couldn't but then I didn't think that was the point of the show. It was to find an act to perform at the variety performance, and no matter what Paul was going to get a contract, whereas it would have been something Connie could have lived on for years!! I think the wrong decision was made, but never mind, I hope Paul enjoys his success!

Mags
17-06-2007, 11:39 PM
I really would have liked her to win too, I think the queen would have loved her!

Never mind though, with a voice like that at 6 years old, I think she will go places when she is older!:D

very true Mags, i don't think we've seen the last of that young lady!

I would have prefered wee Connie too, but Paul was excellent, I think it was always going to be between the two of them who won.

I have to disagree, ladies!! ;)

I'm pleased that Paul won as he was so humble and didn't realise his own talent. I think that his winning will really better his life and that of his family.

Whereas with little Connie, although I loved her don't get me wrong, she wouldn't have really benefitted from winning and probably would have forgotten it in a few years time. Plus when she's a teenager, she would have been really embarassed by it all!!! lol

I'm really pleased Paul won, he has an excellent voice (I love opera so suppose I am biased) and seems a genuinely nice guy. :)
