I have been really boring and have had the same sort of style for years now! Infact, my hair is just plain boring! I usually have a few layers, middle parting and a bit of feathering at the front.

I want something different, but need to bare in mind that I have really thick, frizzy hair! I couldnt dream of having my hair down unless I straigtened it with my GHD's.

I also enjoy having hair long enough to be able to be put up when I cant be bothered to spend ages straightening it.

Is there any different hairstyle that I could have?!

I am happy for any suggestions!! Thanks, Tanya x

Sorry Tanya, I'm useless at hairstyles lol, hence mine is straight down my back with a fringe. Have you looked at

What about shortish with choppy layers? Maybe some highlight/lowlight colour to add extra interest and texture . . . you can either blowy-dry the frizz out or straighten/tong it out.

I think colour and layers are the key to a style (but I've only got the guts for 50% of that . . . the colour)!!

So do I
But I am the wrong person to ask. I often feel like a change but haven't found the right thing to change to yet!

Just a little update!! ;)

I went out last night and was so fed up with my boring hair, that I decided that I just had to have it cut TODAY! :)

I went to the hairdressers, told them I was bored with my hair, but wanted to keep the length - so off she went chopping away with the scissors!

I ended up with it feathered nicely around the face, a couple of inches off the length and lots of choppy layers. It feels so lovely and soft! :)

I plan on going back to have some high lights and low lights put in - the hairdresser suggested a chocolate colour would be nice.

Thanks for everyones advice! :D

Good for you. The most adventuress Ive been recently was to get 3 inches cut off!! Mind you I'm quite happy with it.

Ok, here are a couple of pictures!

I dont look too great ... I had to try and take the photo myself on my phone!

The pictures dont really show the choppy layers or the featheredness .... but here goes...

Thankyou!!

I have just been talking to my mum (on the phone) & she said that as part of my graduation present she will pay for my hair to have a head of foils - I think chocolate and a light blonde. ;)

That looks really nice Tanya. I always regret having my fringe cut back in, I much preferred it when it looked similar to your style.
