Thought I'd post about Charlie ;D

Charlie is a dove, syrian hamster who was born on the 4th January 2007. At the age of about 8-10 days his mother abandoned the litter and him and his brothers had to be hand reared by the breeder. On the 10th February (the day after my birthday) he came to me from Manchester. He was entered into a hamster show in April in the pet category and came 3rd out of about 15 :D

Here are some photos of him:
(I thought I would link them for dial up users)

How cute:D What is it you used to cover the bottom of the hammy's house? All I can find in pet shops is woodchip which i dont like very much, not sure if they are harmful to hamsters but I know they can be harmful to rats and rabbits.

The bedding is Megazorb - it's a horse bedding and smells a bit funny but works great for hams. Some people do use wood shavings and say they're okay, however I don't like them because most of them are pine if they're unmarked and they also stink and are really dusty. I get the Megazorb from a local horse place, it's about £6 for a massive sack.

I was feeding him some baby food as a treat and didn't have a bowl handy, so gave it him straight off the spoon instead of plopping it onto his bedding and making it all gross, sticky and smelly :P
