That helping the CPL was going to be so knackering!!! Today already I have dropped a trap off to one woman, helped the BM pick up a mum and 2 one day old kittens along with 3 other cats from a womans back garden (they have been being fed since their owner up and moved a year ago) and took them to the vets, then got asked to go and get a poor old ginger tom who gets looked after by 3 streets, into a basket to go to the vets as he has hurt his paw!! Was warnde about how he snarles adn hisses and scratches!! Poor baby let me pick him up no probs, the fun only started when we put him in the basket:roll: , he fought like mad, I finally got him in, then he managed to open the blasted thing again! When I got him back in the basket got trussed up with string and off to the vets he has been taken. What have I let myself in for:-D

Don't let them take advantage of you though. ;)
Know what your limits are & try & stick to them, I do............. otherwise I'd be out trapping & transporting cats every day of the week.

I couldn't do this every day, it would kill me lol! Most of the week I can't actually help as I have things on, so I know I'll have to say no sometimes. Must admit though it was a great moment when I managed to get two of the cats this morning into baskets no probs when the BM couldn't even get near them lol! One up for me!!!

Wise words from Smudgley, Alex ........don't run yourself into the ground or you'll be no use to those kitties at all ;)

Probably a dumb question, but what does BM stand for? :?

Excellent question from where I am sitting Mags what is a BM????

I agree with Smudgley though don't let them take advantage not that I think they would I imagine they are just desperate for people to help....and when they find those people they just don't let go.

And there's me just waiting to be wanted...:(

I think Branch Manager, but they are actually not called Branch Managers, the person who co-ordinates the branch is the Branch co-ordinator ;)

Imagine one of those cartoons Eileen with a cat sticking out all four legs and clinging to the side of the bath so as not to make contact with the water!! That was what the poor boy was like trying to get him into the carrier!! And I only got 3 little scratches, very proud of myself lol!!

You know pictures of the Indian goddess Kali, with six arms? I have always said mine turn into Kali when I've tried to get them in the carrier...no normal cat has that many arms and legs!

Get some more pics tomorrow lol. No homes yet Kazz, this branch doesn't like to reserve so far in advance unless there is a very special reason. There has been interest from one person in little Eddie, but we'll have to wait and see. Also our branch doesn't let the kittens go until they are 12 weeks now and neutered!! Too many people were saying they would neuter and didn't, so apparently they have to be done before rehoming now!
