48 hours after the terrified black cat got trapped & moved & was petrified & growling at me..... we've made friends. I thought she may be feral as she was so bad on Sat / Sun, but she can't be... I think she is just a very scared little girl... she made friends with me.

I went to see her this evening & she'd eaten all her food, so I fetched her some more & she was ok when I gave it to her & she started eating it whilst I was still there, so I very carefully approached her & she was ok..carried on feeding. I gently stroked her head all the time she was eating & she liked it. She didn't move far from her "nest" but what fantastic progress. She's very scared still & it will take a little more time before I can truly assess how tame she is, but at least she's much better than I thought. No hissing or growling.

Oh & the kittens are doing great.

She's not been badly treated Random, well I don't think so. :? I think it's just a case of lack of human contact.

That is good news!
Now it leaves you with a headache - if she's not feral can you just 'release' her? Does she need one of those farm/factory jobs, where she at least gets a bit of care and as much or as little human contact she needs?

No worries there.... she's going back to the people she came from. If she becomes friendly with them over time, great, if not she will still be in familiar territory & live her life as she did with shelter & warmth & good food! But she'll be neutered.

Great news - maybe she will be more trusting with her 'half-way owners' when she gets back minus her hormones.
