buster off to the vets

Buster is going to the vets as he has started his wheezey coughing fits again:cry: . So we are going to see what is wrong. The vets said it was larangitis (sp) last time he got this but I think he might have ashma.

Anyway I will let you know when I get back from the appointment which is at 6.20pm.

thanks for all your support. the vets says he has either got larangitis or a piece of grass stuck in his throat. So the vet gave buster an anti inflmatory injection and and antibiotic and we are going back tomorrow to see if he has made an improvement if he hasn't he will have to be sedated so tjhe vet can check to see if there is any grass stuck. If he needs sedating then the vet will probably take x rays of his lungs as well to see if they are OK.

So more new tomorrow we are going at 9.40am

PS on a good note Buster has lost a bit of weight and is now getting back towards what he should weight. As the s/d he was on a while back made him gain loads of weight.

Hi thanks for asking. His throat is still sore and he is booked in to have a general anestetic (sp) because the vet think it might be a blade of grass or the is a slim chance that he could have larangil paraliysis (sp) which means his laraynxs isn't opening up enough. He is booked to have a full respiratory check. they are going to see if there is a foreingn body, take x rays, check for the paralysis thing and do a tracheal wash to make sure is itsn't ashma or something similar.

Sorry for any spelling mistake my two seem to have problems which are impossible to spell!!!

just heard back from the vets and they didn't find a foreign body so have done some other test which I can't spell. But he is a wake and doing OK. I am going to collect him at 3.30pm. Then it is just a case of waiting to see what the test say.

Got back fro his check up and the test where they put some fluid into his lungs and sucked it back out again has come back clear so he doesn't have ashma or a bacterial infection.:D His x-rays or his lung are showing a very slight dapling but it is very slight and nothing to worry to much about. They have also found out that he is showing a slight signs of artheritis along parts of his spine but this is also nothing to worry to mcuh about but just to keep an eye on. I am still waiting to hear about the viral test that was taken.
