Misty is eating lots at the moment. And she is being sick... why do they eat it if it makes them sick?

She is only bringing up saliva and grass and fur. Not her food.

Anyone know why she is doing this?

Here you are Donna, this will explain it;)

Also I might add that Cassie eats a lot of grass too and reacts the same way as Misty:D

Well that explains that very well!!!

Came home from work to cat sick on my bed yesterday!!! It was mainly saliva and fur so that is obviously a good sign as she is getting the fur out of her system!!!

Not such a good sign for my poor bed though!!!

Thanks for the link Mags!

I'm wondering now if she ate something she shouldn't have when she went missing the other day:? Hopefully this will get rid of the hair or anything else in her system now ;)

Pity she had to use your bed though! ;)

But some cats eat grass not as an emetic but simply because they like it...like salad, I guess. Mine, including Leia now, would just eat a little bit and it always stayed down. Cats! :-D

Both cats and dogs eat grass and are not necessarily sick. I watch my dog many times and she is very selective about which blades of grass she eats (heaven knows why).

Talking about cats being sick. Rosie is sick regularly and last time on the bed. I know exactly why though. Both her and Alfie eat their meals straight away but Holly my lurcher tends to leave hers "for later". Rosie and Alfie then set about eating bits of Holly's meal and overload;) If I put Holly's bowl up on a shelve that really doesn't stop them.

cats eat grass because they do not feel very well and they want to make them self sick
