Some of those are really elegant! Here's mine: a friend gave it to me years ago when I sprained my knee and was hobbling: I think its sort of cool! It'll be around if I get to the point I need one! http://www.catsey.com/%5Bcenter%5D%5Bimg%5Dhttp://wwwdogsey.com/pics/13779DSCN0246.JPG%20%5B/img%5D%5B/center%5Dhttp://wwwdogsey.com/pics/13779DSCN0246.JPG

Oh that is a gorgeous stick Jac, getting very jealous here lol! Your mum is typical of many people Jac, don't like to be seen with someone that is different! Just ignore her or ask her which she would prefer, your grey gospital crutches or your lovely new funky walking stick!

I must admit she does get to me sometimes, especially if I'm having a "down" day. (had a few recently) She's my Mum and should be there for me not constantly put me down. ah but that's another story:( .

Alex, you'll get a funky stick, I'm sure of it.

I wonder if they do funky wheel chairs? lol. The Doc wanted to put me in one last week:lol: .

The kids made a fool of my stick last night and told me it was for Grannys:? . Once I get a collection they'll be eating there words:-D

you can get funky chairs Jac lol! I saw one quite recently. The person in it had the side panels of the wheels all painted. Really smart (as wheelchairs go)

Well all I can say is if you need it use it..... why do Mum's do that? mines is always putting me down for something...it gets so depressing you just end up being miserable and they have no idea they do it to you...

anyway enjoy your new sticks and dont let her get you down too much
