Well after his vet visit last week the stray avoided our house for 4 whole days, I started to think he'd gone, never to be seen again!
But he has come back, and started visiting at least once a day again, today I found him chilling out in the conservatory, yesturday he was actually socialising with our 4 cats quite well in the garden. Even Rags was good with him and only let out a small growl when he came close, I put down food and everyone ate together :).

Now he needs a name, one that really suits him. Here is a picture of him from last year when he was pretty much living here, he looks really smart in this picture compared to his usual beat-up look!

Heres a bit about him : He is quite a big cat, quite scary when you first get close to him because he's big and he hisses if you move fast, but as soon as you touch him he turns into the softest sweetheart of a cat, rolls over, purrs and is gentle.
At the moment he's a Tom cat, by the amount of scratches he has all the time I'd say hes a fighter (maybe not a very good one), so I don't think any really cute 'fluffy' kind of names will suit him.

I'm going to steal a name from another naming thread....he's a tuxedo cat, so why not TC? That's not especially fluffy/cuddly....

Some great suggestions, he does look just like a Sylvester, although with our other cats we seem to shorten there names e.g Mitzi we always call Mit or Mits so Sylvester would probably end up being Sylv :? a bit girly maybe?
I kind of like Squirt, its funny, better than what I have been greeting him with 'hello smelly'!
Minstrel is good, not sure though, am I being hard to please yet lol!
Boris would suit him well, but my mum had a cat called Boris.
Barry lol can't help but think of Barry who used to be in eastenders!
Mac could work to, and hes quite a big cat so he could be our.... big mac!
My b/f likes Shadow and Bilbo.
Ok I think were gonna test some of these names out with him next time hes over see what he thinks!
