...and we have 2 expectant mothers. The vet thinks a week - 10 days before we have babies. She showed me how to feel for the kittens and it's so obvious now! Kiara is booked in to be spayed, booked her in while I was there. She's kittenless and fine.

The vet also said to that all going well, give them a ring when the kittens are a few weeks old as they have people who they know to be good owners who are wanting kittens, and will refer them to us for the details of our litters when they are here and over their first few weeks so they can visit. She was really really helpful, and gave me her mobile number just incase we need help out of hours, as she doesn't live far from me. She didn't even charge us for the visit!

Jennie seems to have more and bigger kittens than Vitaani, but then Jennie is a bigger cat. Vitaani is very petite, but she said they should both be fine, and they both have a few in there so they shouldn't be too big and get stuck. So overall the vet is happy with them and thinks they will do fine. She said to give them 2 weeks and if still nothing to come back in, but she thinks we'll have kittens before then anyway, so not long either way.

Thank you! He's a right mother hen he his, and the cats still love snuggling up in his fur! :-D I think he actually prefers spending time with the cats over the other dogs.

I have a friend who has his own pet supply business too, so that is going to help with everything i'll need to gather over the next week.

I'll start putting a kitten food in with the mum's meals and change them over the next week. Tarny especially gets the squits easily and will need a slow change over.

Can anyone recommend a good quality food suitable for pregnant mums?

I've used Whiskers kitten meat in the past but Ria won't eat wet food so she will be having Royal Canin Babycat..

That's what Kiara was brought up on, RC. I'll may give whiskers a go then as they prefer wet anyway. Thanks!

Rover grew up on Whiskas kitten, so it can't be that bad.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well and that no problems are expected.
