Morning all, dry here but damp from overnight rain. I am full of cold this morning which I have caught from Em. She came back from the School residential trip with it
I was taking my mum out shopping for a new cooker today but she really doesn't need this cold so we have decided to postpone the outing until next week. Must nip to the bank at some point. Other than that, I'm just trying to keep warm

Hope everyone has a great day :D

Morning! Been helping out in the school with the books again, so I'm all dusty! Been drizzly here today, and now very overcast, not so nice.Nothing much planned for today at all, just craft club with the girls after school. Hope you all have a good day.

Fran - stay tucked up and keep warm. Plenty of hot drinks!

Well I've been up at least a couple of hours and done nothing.

Off to walk the girls in a minute take the rubbish to the skip. Maybe plant some bulbs in the front for summer. Pop to the post office for Eileen mag (its on its way by the time you ready this)
Then take Dad to the hospital to have a yearly check up n his hearing aid (apparently he's one of the first 100 and they want him to take part in trials)

Got to pop to the shops at some point too, but loads of hours in the day see you all later.

In the office again fiddling with my email campaigns. Not much to report other than it started off snowing, turned to rain and now looks quite misty outside!

Last night's eruption has blown over and all is well again in our household :D

Feeling worse as the day goes on :( Can't be bothered to go to the bank. Just put a beef and veg casserole on, added a drop of red wine for medicinal purposes of course ;)

Get yourself off to bed Fran.

Are you taking some kind of supplements coz you seem really susceptible to all these colds and bugs that are going around :(

Could I suggest a visit to a (reputable) herbalist (not one of those shopping mall Chinese ones). It could be that they prescribe something more 'holistic' that standard vitamins and minerals bypass.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Yola, I think I could do with something  I think a lot of my problems stem from this early menopause that I'm having and the fact that I have my periods every two weeks :?
Won't go to bed now as I have the casserole on and am preparing a batch of veggies for the dogs but I will secumb to an early night albeit probably with my laptop :-D

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Fran. Make sure that you keep warm and drink plenty (of water that is, not red wine!!! lol)

Not much to report here. Back at work today after a few days off with the kittens ;) It was snowing here this morning, but turned to rain and has now stopped totally. The blinkin weather doesn't know what it's doing at the moment..........where's spring!?!?!

Catch you all later.
xx

Fran - I know my herbalist specialises in 'womanlies' and we first came across her when a friend of mine was on HRT but wasn't actually going through the menopause yet  . . . Christine (the herbalist) has seen her through coming off HRT and then subsequently helped her with menopause issues when they arrose.

She's also helped Ken with his food allergies, me with infertility and fatigue.

It is exactly the type of thing that doctors dont' seem to show much interest in and alternative therapies excel in. Have a look at http://www.nimh.org.uk/, they have lots of practitioners in your area. If you're stuck for which one to use, I'll see if Christine can recommend someone close to you.

That's really interesting Yola. I didn't realise that. I'll definitely bear it in mind for the next time I catch a bug or something.

You really do learn something new every day on here!!!! ;)
