I checked Leila yesterday and she has started to pink up. Hopefully everything will go well for her. It means I will have a litter ue on the 1st May (Jilly) and Leila due on the 5th May. It's going to be busy in our house. Here is a picture of Leila and a picture of Tate the dad-to-be. Leila's dad is Joshua, the father of Jilly's litter and Tate is Jilly's dad and the father of Leila's litter. Really confusing

Yeh it is really exciting but tinged with a little bit of fear as things haven't gone brilliant lately. Hopefully everything will be fine this time.

Oh wow good news there then Kay.
Is it really easy to tell if they have pinked up. I had problems telling with Peapod as she has had a few litters before and her nipples were quite pronounced anyway and pink.
However Mally has only had the one litter so I'm hoping i should be able to tell the difference. Roughly around how long after mating is it supposed to become obvious this pinking up business?

3 weeks ......

Yes it is around 3 weeks after mating, some Queens do pink up slightly earlier but 3 weeks is usual and it is much easier to tell in Maidens..
